Black Bear Diner Citrus Heights

This is painful. BBD is one of our favorite restaurants and our food tonight was good as usual. Our meal was a vegetarian omelette and a Joe's hobo omelette.The problem was additional avocado which is an additional cost and it was just gross. Now this is not like them but it was a huge miss. This would never happen in the store.We’ll be back, but we will expect better next time.

The food is good but the serving wasa snack. They used to feed you way more food and the prices seem a little more than before. Great food but not a great value anymore. I could have went anywhere for those small servings..

We had a total of 6 people in our group. 3 had the meatloaf, burger, chicken fried steak, and I had the French Dip. Everything was amazing, we were all full, all meals were cooked really good, and we all had leftovers. Their meals are huge, I think we all maybe half of our meals. Service was truly spot on, checked on us, didn't have to ask for refills, man our waitress is pretty damn awesome.

The food was really good. They have large servings, I couldn't eat it all. The service could be a little better but overall everything was good.

We went to the Black Bear Diner today and got a free breakfast for my wife's birthday, which I ate, and my wife had a patty melt with french fries. Both were equally delicious. They were a little busy and we would have had about a 10 minute wait, so we sat at the counter and the service was outstanding. And like the small world that it is that we live in, it turns out that our waitress,Terry, who was wonderful, graduated from the same high school (Folsom High) that I did in 1976, only I graduated one year later. We highly recommend that you give this wonderful restaurant a visit! And say hello to Terry!
