Chef's Cottage - Chipping Norton

After having disappointing experiences with Chinese takeout from two of the three options in Chipping Norton, I had low expectations for Chef's Cottage. However, I’m pleased to say that the food was excellent. You can actually see the chefs at work, which reassured me that the meals are freshly prepared rather than microwaved. The prawn toast was crispy, and the pancake rolls were light and flavorful. Overall, the entire order was delicious, and I will definitely be returning. The best part is that they also offer delivery. I can't wait for my next order!

The restaurant offers great value for money and the food tastes good, though I found it a bit too greasy for my liking. However, my wife really enjoyed it. I'm writing this review after our last visit, and we've also had two takeaways from there which were delicious. Based on those two orders, I believe this is the best Chinese restaurant in Chipping Norton, especially in terms of price and quality. From now on, I'll only order from here when I’m in the mood for Chinese food.

During these challenging times, we decided to treat ourselves to a family meal. After four weeks of home-cooked food, this was a much-appreciated and delicious change. The takeaway collection was clean and followed COVID-19 safety measures, with large screens separating staff and customers. We ordered several appetizers, half a dee, and a few main courses, and everything was perfectly cooked. Thank you for coming back!
