The Red Lion - Chiltern

First visit, and on a wonderfully warm day it was a pleasure to be there. a nice cozy pub with a beautiful garden with water and interesting old machines. we had the dressed crab salad and enjoyed it very salad. well presented nick radishes and olives too. the crab was deliciously washed with a beautiful zider pint. will be recommended and will be back.

Visited to lunch with the family. had a delicious cake and a few ales. children who are entertained by the animal world and the playground. great memory and recognition of his history. we need to support these kinds of institutions

Fabulous meal at the red lion tonight, I booked for high-time jubilee when we arrived kerzen were lit on our table, so a nice note, my man had the lamb and said it was fabulous I had steak cooked to perfection we followed in the evening. with brot and butter pudding and chic fudge cakes that both die for. service was excellent 10 out of 10 will definitely come back.

A very pleasant evening eating outside. eating came hot and was all we expected served by very friendly staff. the first time we ate here, but not the last!

We came here due to being fairly local and someone informed us that they had enjoyed a nice lunch! However the service was slow and the food was average at best! The prices are inflated and it’s really not worth paying the extra!! We had...an issue with cutlery and were left starting our main meals with a fork and spoon! The food wasn’t hot when it came out so by the time we had got the correct cutlery our food was cold. The food went back to the kitchen and was Microwaved which made the veg hard and taste raw. Everything else ended up tasting like a microwaved roast dinner meal and not a good one !! We complained and said it was unacceptable and no one cared or even tried to resolve. Reading reviews it seems a general running trend with poor food and if anyone questions it they’re accused of trying to get a free meal !! Personally I’d rather of gave the food back and my money and gone somewhere else! I won’t be going back !
