This is a hidden jem of chieti as regards food. they cook grandma style local kitchen. really good quality and also quite cheap. beautiful location not too far from the heart of the city.

Authentic cucina casalinga which we found by chance. If you’re after the food Italian mamma would serve, this is the perfect spot. To our knowledge there is no menu, but la Mamma presenting the options for primo and secondo. For the first course we had...three different pastas, ricotta ravioli in ragù, pasta mugnaia in white sauce with ricotta and truffles and the last one, pappardelle with pancetta and salsiccia. Our son, a good but picky eater, declared this pappardelle one of his top pasta ever. Must have been true since he nearly finished his portion while I had half of mine packed to go (it was simply too good to waste). We followed with lamb arrosticini, which were succulent and tender, so we ate between us 3 all 20 slim spades with grilled bread and salad. We also had very good rosato house wine, and we were surprised to be paying just 50 euro for all this goodness. Upon saying our goodbyes we were served complimentary ratafià and amaro and we literally rolled out of the place promising to ourselves that we must come again.

Ottimo e consigliato! Siamo tornati! piatti della tradizione delizioso e decisamente abbondante, posto semplice, con pochi tavoli, personale molto gentile che trasmette cordialità e buon umore. raccomandato

Posto indimenticabile. Provare per credere! Dopo anni ancora ripenso ai loro arrosticini e alla fantastica Sagne&Ceci.

Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante quasi per caso per pranzare. Cucina tipica buonissima e di qualità, i titolari persone gentili e disponibili. Consigliato
