Yard House - NewCity at Lincoln Park

The service is always great! Many of my friends don't know about this place and when I bring it, they just can't stop talking how great it is!

There for dinner in a cold windy night. parking is in a garage on the complex and they can validate it so free for the first 2 hours. just a short walk to the restaurant. we had reservations and sat right away. server was quick to welcome us and see what we needed. our food was very good and what they would expect for this type of event. more than 100 beers on hahn, but we are weintrinkers so had a much smaller, although acceptable, choice. all in all we had fun and a good meal.

The use of the check-out system in the i-Pad was a little tricky, but unlike eating was very good.

Our server was busy but still very attentive. The food was all delicious but a little spaced out; again, they were very busy so it was somewhat expected. Our biggest issue was that our table was just inside the restaurant next to the tv control boxes and under a tv, which had a popular football game on. Because there were a lot of people waiting, we actually had people standing directly next to our table, watching the tv and chatting, for a lot of our meal which kind of killed the date-night mood for a bit. I could have stuck my arm out and touched the people standing next to us so I’m not sure how they didn’t find it awkward, too? We could tell how busy the restaurant was so we didn’t want to trouble them with a request for a different table and the manager did check on us towards the end our meal which was thoughtful. It wasn’t a huge deal but my only con was that waiting guests weren’t kept in a waiting area or directed towards the bar. Great service and great food so I would still definitely recommend!

Host said we didn’t have a reservation, but sat us anyway. Never looked in computer and was not pleasant.
