Tecalitlan Mexican Kitchen Margarita

After a $85 tab, all 5 of us got sick 20-30 minutes later after eating there. Bad cramping, gassy and nausea. I am truly shocked because when it was at other location on Chicago Ave., it wasn't as bad. We had to buy salsa and chips for $5, when originally it was FREE. Then the salsa serving looked like for 2 people with a little under 12 chips in basket.Then when complained, the owner came out and offered us more chips but kept implying,3 times, NOT TO TAKE THEM HOME. I can't believe how stingy they have gotten. They need to stay humble and personable if they want good business. I'm done with that place. It saddened me. I was sooo excited to go since I grew up 2 blocks from the original location and was constantly there.

I don't know where to start, but I can start by saying that the gentlemen who welcomed us at the entrance were super nicely helpful. Immediately I felt a good mood. It was my first time in this restaurant. My guest arrived, we sat right away. Our server Stephanie was also super nice, helpful with the menu, she didn't rush us, nor do we feel that she checked too often on us. She recommended the perfect margaritas, we have 2 each. Even the lady who brought our chips guac was so nice. The food was amazing, and the music selection was the best part. I'll be back. Your prices are reasonable. Maybe adding more food selection to the menu would be great, other than, 12/10!

Incredibly welcoming host and nice, casual ambiance with outdoor patio conveniently located between Lincoln Park and River North. Delicious tacos! Especially beef and Al Pastor (pork)! We tried them all!! Guacamole serving could have been more generous; we ordered a small but sized up to a large after receiving a tiny scoop. Tortilla chips could use some salt there wasn't any added. Margarita was so YUM!

Staff was very friendly and brought hand sanitizer to our table. We were allowed to taste red and Green salsa. Food was authentic, very fresh and tasty. My Margarita was delicious and so many drinks for every taste buds. Tuesday through Friday theirs a Happy Hour and I would definitely recommend group’s because there are different areas to accommodate a large party and staff to assist and serve meals quickly.

The drinks were perfect and the food came quickly. The chicken tacos were delicious!
