Bidra med feedbackHostile service! I have to admit that I am surprised that a lovely-looking place such as the Andersonville location of Lost Larson has such a bad vibe. The atmosphere that the downright negative attitude of the people who work here is a permanent impediment to a pleasant meal. It doesn 't make sense to keep coming here, and I have done so in hope that it 's just temporary and it will change. No: not only is there no effort to improve the customer experience, but they are doing the exact opposite on an ongoing basis. Chose wisely with your valuable time and money and good luck.
Wow! Wow wow wow wow. It is the best coffee I have had in Chicago. Go early or place your order because the pastries go quickly. I had the princess cake, but I would go back every single day to get different pastries. They have their own blend, so it is very special.
Unfortunately, I have been witnessing an exponential decline of service here for some time. Buyer beware. Even though I love the kind of pastries they make the quality has also decreased. I come here from often for several years and have spent thousands. As with everywhere else, I leave a 15% tip in addition to the 15% totaling 30% appreciation. There is very little appreciation in return (they actually don’t even say thanks anymore! , attitude and attentiveness is way below par. Now that there is more business, there is no need for them to earn our business, so even the prices increased, the service has decreased, and we have to bring our own food to the table, utensils, water… essentially one feels like a total idiot paying these prices and getting subpar return. The goal of this place is to do the least possible and squeeze the most out of traffic they get. Time after time the feeling of coming here is sour, so I’m not coming back. Whether it’s the owner/leadership that is the problem, or just the general culture, it is unclear but there is something seriously not working here for quite some time.
Little bakery with rotating menu and fresh goods. cinnamon rolls are huge, and the hint of lemon in the icing added a nice dynamic to the flavor. it was fluffy but also dense. cardamom bun was good and chewy. a little pricey but i’d be interested in trying more.
Pricey? Yes. Perfect? Yes! We were looking for a replacement for Swedish Bakery Princess Cake. Ordered two online for pickup—the store is absolutely gorgeous. Staff immediately found our cakes when we walked in. The owner noticed our boxes were missing stickers to close the lids and came over himself to add them meticulously. The cake—possibly better than the original Swedish Bakery (ever so slightly less sweet), and definitely with a sharper, more modern look. One 8-inch cake was enough for 20 modestly sized portions. Definitely going back for more cake and to try all the other stunning pastries.
