I have found my new favorite patio in Old Chelsea! It is cozy and inviting, with amazing quality food and an interesting selection. The pub food is top-notch, and the patio has well-spaced tables for Covid safety. The atmosphere is modern and energetic. I highly recommend trying the burger, fish and chips, and grilled cheese with bacon - all pictured here. The fries are hearty and perfectly fried. I also enjoyed the seared tuna salad and poutine when I ordered takeout. I'm thrilled to have this option in Old Chelsea!
The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a casual, rustic bistro atmosphere. Comfortable leather benches are scattered around, but if you miss out on one, you'll be sitting in a metal chair. The menu mainly consists of soups, sandwiches, burgers, poutines, salads, and a few main dishes like fish and chips or sausages. Sandwiches and burgers are priced around $13-$14, but sides like fries, soup, or salad are an additional $3.50. Personally, I prefer a fixed price with sides included. The presentation of the food could use some improvement, as my bacon on the chicken sandwich was cold and unappetizing. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, but the food took a long time to arrive. I would give them another chance for a leisurely lunch.
After snowshoeing, we were in search of a place to eat and ended up choosing Meech Munch, which turned out to be the perfect choice! I was thrilled to discover some incredibly tasty salad options, along with plenty of other non-vegetarian choices. I opted for the salad with sesame-crusted tuna, requesting the tuna to be well-done. We also enjoyed two delicious IPAs. The restaurant was very cozy and clean, with a friendly staff. Without a doubt, the best meal of our trip so far.
What a treasure! Four of us came up to Chelsea for the day. We looked at reviews on Google and Yelp and decided on this place. So much to share. Everything was fresh. The take on garden salad was a welcome change from traditional. The Caesar as well, creative and welcome change. The fries were fantastic with the pesto aioli. I tried the sausages, the Belvedere burger with a gluten-free bun, the Haddock fish and chips, and two local beers. Everything was sublime. I loved that the two owners waited on tables, staying connected to their clientele. I highly recommend this place. Locally sourced, top quality, creative approach to lunch. Well done.
