Bidra med feedbackThis should be the best restaurant in town. What a disappointment. The "entree", a fish pate, was almost frozen , dry, and tasteless. We hardly ate it. The main course, a dos the truite, was ok., but not special. No sauce, and full of bones. "Le dessert" wasn't better then that of a famous food chain... We do not understand it, is it so difficult to make good food for a normal price? Here in Chatillon sur Seine, we could not find one good restaurant.
Mystified by the positive reviews of this Fawlty Towers style dining experience. The food is broadly OK, but it came so slowly and unprofessionally served (no welcome; wine list to the 14 year old…) that by the end I was just happy to get out. And it's not that cheap either.
There is some very skilled cooking going on here employing some of the best of traditional French technique but with modern presentation. We ate warm fruits de mer in a light bisque, delicious, veal sweetbreads, tender and cooked beautifully with truffles in a tasty sauce and well seasoned gratin potatoes, lamb chops again delicious and tender and a lovley caramelised apple Mille feille. Couldn't manage it but the cheese board looked great too. With a really good wine list and service to match and sitting in the lovley garden I can't fault this restaurant and look forward to returning.
We went with a couple of friends to stay the night at this place. The food was seriously delicious, incredibly good! The hotel is a little bit old and could do With a bit of revamping, but it was very clean.
Remarkably good food for the price, with three levels of set price menus offer a good range of options for all budgets. We had the €22 menu which was perfectly good and we would certainly visit again.
