Croissant Dore - Châteaubriant

This restaurant is open on six days a week (closed Sundays). We ate in this restaurant on Monday when most other restaurants are closed. The service is friendly and fast and there are options to eat inside or outside. The house style pizza was...a generous serving with a range of pastries and hot cold drinks to choose from. We chose an early dinner and take our lunch the next day.

We chose to eat here for an early dinner as well as take-away our lunch the following day.

We stopped off in Chateaubriant on a motorbike tour of Normandy and found Croissant Dore almost by accident. It was ideal as a coffee stop . The coffee was great , Madam la patrone was incredibly helpful and we all agreed the pastries were some of the best we have ever had. The apple with raspberries in a suet crust was amazing ( un douillon or douillion ) . We'd go there again .

Nous nous arrêtons au hasard au Croissant Doré. Pour 5 euros seulement un grand sandwich de pain frais et croustillant d un peu plus de 30 cm de long steak haché, oignons confis, salade, tomates, frites croustillantes, sauce au choix (blanche pour nous). Dame charmante rue calme . Idéal pour une petite pause déjeuner! Nous recommandons vivement. Même si la vitrine ne paye pas de mine.
