MR Seafoods - Charlottetown

During this very difficult time in which we are all, I felt it important to receive from the owner of MR seafood. I buy some sea freight containers from this place and there was a problem with the order that prevented me from using the containers. Because the problem was discovered on a Sunday morning, I had to buy new containers from another company because MR seafood is closed on Sunday. I spoke to the owner on the phone to discuss what could be done, and she explained that because of COVID-19 she was unable to accept the containers back. I think most retailers do that at that time. Mary called me back in about 10 minutes after our first call and offered me a full refund. Most companies are struggling during this difficult time, but this owner knows the value of GREAT customer service and I hope you will apply their business because it really goes beyond and beyond. My local friends highly recommended this place. As others have mentioned, it's not a restaurant, but a fish market. Despite our long trip home (4 hours), we were impressed with the good prices and variety of cooked lobsters and fresh scallops. We even bought some scallops wrapped in bacon that stayed fresh thanks to a gel pack and car refrigerator. Can't wait to visit again next time we're in PEI!

We were told by a local that this was the place where the locals get fresh seafood to prepare at home. We bought half a pound of fresh scallops and a 1/2 pound of fresh lobster for a little over $20. Great food, the lobster... was fresh and sweet. Scallops were excellent. We will return.

The seafood at this restaurant is of great quality and the selection is impressive. However, the lady with short gray hair at the reception is very rude and unapologetic. Despite this, the fresh seafood cannot be beat!

Being a resident of Charlottetown I go to Mr Seafood to buy fresh or frozen fish and seafood regularly. I do not know how it got posted as a restaurant this is a retail seafood fish monger. Always fresh and of the highest quality at...very good prices. What they sell is based on the catch of the day so it does vary and also some fish is only available in Season. Halibut is an example. They have better prices for fresh or cooked lobster than any other grocery store in town. I recommend this place highly.
