Bidra med feedbackI used to live in Charlottesville when Brick Oven first opened, so I have dined here before. My husband and I decided to celebrate his birthday at the restaurant while in town for a football game, as we were looking for a casual atmosphere and somewhere close to our hotel to avoid traffic. The interior is simple yet inviting, and they have a new salad bar that looked appealing, although we didn't try it. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered a variety of dishes including pizza, calzones, a pasta dish, and buffalo mac and cheese. Everything was delicious except for the buffalo mac and cheese, which lacked flavor and did not taste like buffalo at all. My husband's opinion was shared by the rest of us. When the owner asked about our meal, we mentioned our disappointment. He was understanding and gracious, offering us another entree at no extra charge. Although my husband declined, he did accept a cannoli from the owner. Despite the issue with the buffalo mac and cheese, the pizzas, calzones, and pasta dish were all tasty. The pizza was especially a hit with me. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and plan on returning to Brick Oven in the future.
When brick oven lived in cville, we had eaten here years ago. back in the city for a football game, we decided to go back there for the birthday of my mannes, as we wanted somewhere casual for after the game. we also wanted to eat somewhere near our hotel to avoid traffic. the interior is simple, but warm and cozy. there is now an salatable. well plundered, but we had no salate. service was fast and friendly. ordered a variety...pizza, calzone, pasta peel, buffalo Mac cheese. everything was delicious, except the buffalo mac cheese. it had only no good taste and didn't really taste like buffalo everything. we have all tried to confirm my man's opinion. it was just not very good, and when the owner was asked for our dinner, we told him. he was very understanding and gracious, he offered one more escape and didn't invite us for it. my man wanted to accept nothing but a cannoli from the owner. other than that, the pizzas, the calzone and other pasta dishes were all delicious. the pizza was my favorite (always is.) overall we will return to brick oven and were very happy with our meal.

We had excellent service from our server and the food was delicious.
I was surprised to find a pizza restaurant located in a strip mall that was listed on OpenTable. When we arrived, it seemed as though they did not acknowledge or check our reservation. Seating was on a first come, first served basis and the atmosphere was simple with a lot of noisy children. Despite having a brick oven and serving good pizza, this restaurant is not the ideal spot for those looking for a special wine selection, a peaceful dinner, or a sophisticated ambiance. Furthermore, it is located quite far from downtown or the University of Virginia.
