Fleurie - Charlottesville

One of my favorite Charlottesville restaurants. Superb French cuisine and a wonderful staff.

My husband and I got lucky to have dinner at Fleurie as a reservation got cancelled and we were able to get a table. What an amazing experience holistically! From the welcome platter to the house-made bread to the appetizers followed by the main course that looked like a piece of art and tasted beyond any description topped off with apple crumble with homemade ice cream and another platter of deserts!!! The sommeliers are fantastic and clearly knowledgeable, the food is smart and well executed, and it is generally a pleasant, comfortable way to spend the evening. A wonderful experience at Fleurie! The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is incredibly attentive and educated about their offerings. The attention to detail is astounding, the courses are served with wonderful timing. The chef started out with sending out these beautiful little nibbles. My husband surprised me and made reservations for our anniversary here and everything was heaven sent! I did the wine pairing which was a fun way to explore the food. The complimentary appetizer was delicious! We also got a surprise soup and mini dessert for our anniversary which was so thoughtful! My husband is still raving about the lobster sauce and I was very happy with my tenderloins. Romantic and quaint spot! We will definitely be back :
