Carmello's - Charlottesville

I had lunch at Carmelo's with two friends today, and it was fantastic! The food was exceptional—definitely one of the best places in Charlottesville.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Being family-owned adds to its charm. We're always greeted by name, and we truly feel like part of the family. The food is consistently flavorful and beautifully presented, with generous portions that often leave me taking some home. It's definitely worth the time, so plan to spend about two hours for dinner, as there's no pressure to rush through your meal for the sake of other guests. Their reservations tend to fill up quickly on special occasions, especially Valentine’s Day. Friends visiting from out of town always ask us to bring them back here. Treat yourself and enjoy!

Stella and her team hosted my son and his new wife's wedding rehearsal dinner last week, and it was truly amazing! We had around 33 guests, and they exceeded all my expectations. Every entree was delicious, and Stella prepared a chocolate mousse cake for dessert that was simply unforgettable. The staff was incredibly friendly and put in a lot of effort. Thank you, Stella! The next time I'm in Charlottesville, I will definitely visit Carmello's again.
