Bidra med feedbackWe stopped in at King's Kitchen while in Charlotte for a Football game and enjoyed great food, service and people watching. Get a table at the window and watch the sights while you enjoy some nice southern foods. The fried Green tomatoes were thinner sliced than We had had before, but very tasty. My wife enjoyed the Reezy Peazy... a vegetarian dish with Rice and field peas(Like Black-eyed peas). The fried chicken sandwich, collard greens, and Fried bologna sandwich were all excellent. Also, nice selection of local beers. While the food and service can stand on their own, the mission of The King's Kitchen gives it even more appeal. Great meal. Super service. We walked to the restaurant, so not sure about parking. Would recommend!
It was VERY loud in the Saturday's evening. Service was really great and friendly, but the food was terrible. We've ordered Roasted Pork Shoulder and it was terrible. Meat with leaves and bouillon which is weird. I would call it pulled pork instead. I wish they had pictures in the menus. There was no additional salt or pepper and napkins also.
We were in town for the ACC Football Championship Game (Go Noles!! Overall the staff not assigned to our table were great but our waitress was not. We immediately were seated when we walked in. Our waitress who also appeared to be acting as one of the bartenders came to take our order. We ordered the pimento cheese appetizer and a couple beers. Both came out quickly. After 45 minutes we still had no water silverware or napkins/towel. She walked up to us and asked are you in a hurry or something? She asked this after we asked another team member walking by if we could get silverware and napkins. I said no,we only asked for silverware and napkins . She rolled her eyes and walked away. We observed this same attitude to most of the customers she served around us as well. If your looking for a bad attitude and not so great service. Just look for the woman in the white shirt, dark hair, and neck tattoo located below her left ear. Some people just shouldn 't choose the service industry.
The King's Table restaurant in Charlotte, NC, stands out for its incredible non-profit mission, aiming to serve the community with compassion and care. The commitment to giving back truly shines. The service is top-notch, with staff members who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. While the food may not be exceptional, it's decent enough to complement the heartwarming atmosphere created by the restaurant's dedication to making a positive impact.
I don't have the words to describe how much I enjoyed my Thanksgiving meal at TKK. Everyone I spoke with there had smiles and was happy to be there.
