Bidra med feedbackWhat a great brunch experience. The staff made it very special and offered wonderful suggestions. Coffee/Lattes were outstanding. Food all excellent. Shrimp and grits were lacking in flavor (shrimp were cooked plain laying on top of grits), but Caprese Tartine and eggs benedict were wonderful. French toast looked good from other tables.
The food at the Southpark location is excellent. You could never replicate the ambiance of the original Bonterra location, but I did feel like there were too many tables and thus the ambiance was not there. Upon entering I thought oh this is great, but trying to make your way to the bar and having to squeeze around other parties who were seated and the wait staff made me feel bad for everyone. We had great service, but it’s just a few tables too crowded.
First time since they moved from Dilworth location. Overall, it was a good experience, not fantastic can't wait to go back type thing. It is a very different setting than the old grand church and that is not a bad thing, but it is definitely tighter and the space which is originally built for retail shopping does not help with sitting so close to the doors on a cold night it can get uncomfortable. Food was good and large portions. I had the pork shank with collard greens. The pork was braised and very tender, but not very flavorful. We had the crispy pork carnitas for appetizer and it was very good with 3 fairly large pieces to share. Drinks were great though it took a bit for them to arrive on a busy Saturday night. We will visit again at some point for sure.
First time visiting, very nice decor and table settings. The wait staff was very attentive and informative. The drinks were great and the lobster bites were wonderful and the best of everything we ordered. Rickey had the Korean chicken which was favorable and tender it was served with cherries and a few julienne vegetables. The French fries w were e good but anything fried you can’t go wrong. I had the vegetarian grain bowl. It was ok but not much flavor needed some kind of sauce to spice it up and give it flavor. This was the only vegetarian plate available. We had coffee and dessert we chose the Carrot Cake. It was tasty but very cold like it came from the fridge. We enjoyed our evening out but our choices in main dishes didn’t live up to our expectations. We will try again and try something different BUT the lobster bites are a must.
A friend was in town on Mondays. We wanted to take them alive somewhere and were worried about it being a Monday. That was perfect! Live atmosphere, half-price glasses of wine, excellent food and service!
