This restaurant is romantic and delightful! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The food is exceptional! I formerly lived and work in Thailand. The food prepared here is authentic Thai! You can order Thai hot dishes or regular mild according to your spiciest preference… I really enjoy pad Thai dishes, but have found that everything on the menu is delicious! The winter months are less crowded at the restaurant, but you may have to call ahead for reservations during tourist season (spring and summer)! Make sure this is a lunch or dinner stop when you’re visiting Charleston!!

Good Asian food experience in Charleston! The salad was delicious, the duck soup got a big thumbs up from my wife, who is a coniseur of noodle soups. The massaman curry was good but a bit different from most others I’ve eaten. The sauce could have been thicker and it was a little heavy on the clove ? . S service was excellent! Overall very excellent!

We went in for supper before a show nearby and it was delicious. The pineapple rice is a must!! Not to mention the waitress was a doll.Dietary restrictions: The pineapple rice is Celiac friendly

Absolutely love love love the red snapper, crab wontons and mango with sticky rice! Yao is an absolute Gem! Do yourself a favor and have a meal here!
