Time-out - Chapel Hill

The cheddar chicken biscuit just melts in your mouth it is huge an entire chicken breast. The Mac Cheese is full of flavor very rich. Great place

One of my favorite places. I remember getting chicken-n-cheese biscuits at 3 in the morning while studying all night in Granville Towers back in the 80's. Now that the Rathskeller is gone, Time Out and Ye Olde Waffle Shoppe rank at the top of my list for tasty food when I return to Chapel Hill. Just like coming home....

I have traveled the country and sampled some great regional food. This place was by far my favorite. The chicken is moist and well seasoned. The Mac and cheese was tasty and a fine compliment to the chicken. The chicken n’ cheddar biscuit was tremendous. So good! Great combination of flavors. A cheerwine to wash it all down. Good times!

It had been a while since we had been to Time Out, and the first time at their new location. OMG, it was all so good, and I do mean ALL! We ate the whole thing! Hal had 2 large fried chicken breasts, mashed potatoes gravy and butterbeans; I had chopped pork BBQ, mac cheese and greens, and we each had one of their Huge biscuits. We have never had anything here that was not excellent! I think it is cool that there is an establishment where the college kids can go and get a true home cooked meal that is not only awesome, but a good deal for a lot of food.

So good. Took a while but I still gave 5 stars. The 9 Pieces Fried Chicken 4 Buttermilk Biscuits are enough for 3 or 4 ppl. Solid macaroni and cheese. Mashed potatoes and gravy taste like moms. Potato salad is bomb as well.
