Bidra med feedbackWhat an amazingly refreshing experience Farmboy provided for a rainy afternoon lunch! I was trying to find unique places to eat in Chandler because I was in the area running errands. This place popped up on Yelp and I saw some pretty tasty sandwiches. So I figured I would check it out. At first sight, I thought it was awfully small and tucked away in this huge business area. But when I was parking the truck, I got a running whiff of some mesquite grilling! I knew I chose the right place. When I walked in, everything was spectacularly laid out in a market style shopping area. The lady up front greeted me right away and welcomed me to try some delicious favorites of hers from the menu. I chose the three AZ slider burgers with a side of Mac and cheese. While I patiently waited for my food to be cooked from scratch, I took a gander of the drink options and was pleasantly surprised to not find any soda or carbonated beverages. Instead the drink options were all fresh berry and green drinks, such as blood red with pomegranate and turmeric. It was sweet and a little tangy but so refreshing! Once the sliders came to my table, I was again pleasantly surprised to find that they did not use ice burg lettuce, which has no nutritional value, but instead they used arugula. That combined with the white cheddar cheese I chose and topped with carmelized onion made for an incredible savory burger. It was more than worth it and a great surprise to know hat everything is made using fresh ingredients from farms all around Arizona. The Mac and cheese was homemade and was creamy and smooth, topped with grated cheese. I would definitely come back for more eats, especially on the weekends when they rotate their meats in the grill and smoker to include brisket, spare ribs and prime rib.
First time there, had the Cuban. Top notch! Everything looks fresh. Everything smoked in house, sourced locally. Little farmers market in the front where you can buy local goods and fresh broth! Probably more a 4.5 for me. People get on this place! It deserves your attention.
Outstanding! I really appreciated the variety of smoked meats on the menu—it's not your typical BBQ joint. The aroma of the smoking meat created a wonderful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the cozy marketplace in the front corner, which had milk, eggs, orange juice, and dry goods. This place is definitely a hidden gem!
The meat on the sandwiches was thin and tough, leading me to spit out about a third of it since it was mostly gristle. The side portions were incredibly small—$1.69 got us three soggy slices of cucumber and a few chunks of tomato. For two sandwiches and two drinks, we ended up spending over $30. The food was mediocre at best, and I definitely don't think it was worth the price.
I honestly can’t understand why this place isn’t always full when I visit. The food is amazing, reasonably priced, and it supports local businesses. There’s nothing to dislike! I highly recommend the BBQ Breakfast Burrito; it’s the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been craving it every morning for the past few weeks.
