Bidra med feedbackDelicious authentic Chinese food. Don't come here expecting Americanized Chinese food or anyone to hold your hand if you don't know authentic Chinese cuisine or how to order. The owners of this place don't speak a lot of English and this restaurant seems to be catered towards Chinese students or those who know what they're ordering. If you want to try this place out but you're not very savvy to Chinese cuisine I recommend bringing someone who is with you. The owners are super nice down to earth and the food is delicious and hearty. I'm a cold winter day this is all I crave. I recommend the S4 soup. There is a raw bar that you can add whatever meat and vegetables or noodles you want into your soup.
If you want Chinese comfort food this is the place to go. A full bar, full of seafood , veggies, noodles, tofu, as well as pork, beef, lamb and other meats, as well as other very unique Chinese delicacies is available for you to choose from once you enter. You can put as much or as little as you want in a bowl and after you are done, you take it to the cashier and they weigh it and cook it into a soup for you. For many people this is intimidating, especially since there isnt a lot of directions and explanation when you walk in. This is a type of eating style that is common in parts of China. If you are expecting broccoli beef sweet and sour chicken kind of stuff consider going to Panda Express. You wont find that here. You will be disappointed if you come here expecting general Tso's chicken. The owners and management doesn't seem to speak a lot of English and this place does not cater to those who are not familiar with traditional Chinese food. If you're interested in expanding or exploring authentic Chinese cuisine, maybe bring someone with you who is familiar with this style of eating when you come here. A lot of people are leaving this place bad reviews simply because they don't understand this style of eating and they come here expected to be led to a table and waited on. I find the food here very comforting and I'm so glad to have discovered such a place so that I can taste my childhood again. Highly recommended for those who want authentic Chinese food. The owners and management are super nice and friendly. They may come off as unhelpful but that's because they don't speak English very well and should not reflect poorly on the restaurant. The prices are a little on the high side but if you enjoy hot pot but don't want the hassle or spend the time to eat hot pot. This place is like a hot pot ready to go. They have other cheaper items on the menu including appetizers and traditional Chinese beverages.
This place missed guidelines how to order that all but actually pretty good food here. Fast-food hot pot with choice of flavors. Pick your own ingredients and go to register to choose from soup or fried rice. Don't forget the sauce. A lots of good choices.
The shrimp fried udon was amazing. The teriyaki beef was good too, but rather medium rare? You need to ask for mushrooms, onion, extras, etc.
LoL when you have this many 5 and 1 star reviews, how can you make a decision? Let me tell you what's going on... This is a Sichuan Ma La Xiang Guo Spicy Pot restaurant. There are some non-native speakers. So yep, pretty much all the bad interactions and 1-star reviews are from people not being patient with the language barrier or not knowing what to order. So that's all. Food was great. It took a minute to understand I could choose ingredients. It's actually pretty dope, rare to have legit Ma La Xiang Guo and choosing ingredients and it not be a big metro area in the US.. was it the best ma la I've ever had, nah, but it's pretty good considering the area. Things of note: bamboo shoots were top notch, the sauce was a little on the cumin side. Fish fillets were great. They have lotus, Fu zhu, Chinese vegetables. All awesome.
