Courte Paille - Chalon-sur-Saône

We stopped here again on our way home after vacation in the south as we thought a nice char grill evening. The booking couldn't be changed online for 6 people and we gladly made it on time, at least some of us. I explained to the waitress that we wait for the remaining people but was reminded every 5min if we are now ready to order. Unfortunately no pression, beer draft available, so only the higher priced choice. I took the menu tradition complet. Entre, plata, dessert, boisson for 26.50. Finally the meat was not saigneur as ordered really blue, cold in the middle. I received a smaller piece with fresh fries. Actually the Entre charcuterie was a joke, one slice smoked ham and some pate. I recognised finally at the bill that they put the dessert extra, so I need to claim the menu complet. Service not really helpful, but OK chargrill smoke notes and close to the hotel. But next time we will check for another restaurant around.

We stopped for lunch at 3pm almost at this restaurant. We were quite in a hurry. The sole waiter was very kind, efficient, quick and customer oriented. Dishes were well prepared and cooked, deserts well done. Very reasonable price for our 6 meals.

The small car park is shared with the Ibis hotel and it's hopeless. Had to park in the supermarket some distance away across a busy road, when we finally got shown to our table it took ages to order. Food was nothing special.

Super personal care, extremely kind, a real pleasure that we went there early on October 9, we had a gentleman who worked there for only 2 months. If I understood it correctly. very good food and impeccable service, cooked with wood fire. a feast. thank you iii we will return 2 Belgian little ones
