The Historic Stone House Restaurant is a hidden gem in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored 18th-century stone house and inn and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The historic setting of the restaurant is charming and unique. The menu was straightforward and the food was fresh and delicious. The service overall was very attentive and had a full knowledge of the menu. My steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were just the right amount of boozy. The peach cobbler cheesecake was rich, fruity and decadent. I would highly recommend dinner here, especially for a celebratory dinner or while traveling. It's a great place to indulge and enjoy some delicious food in a unique setting.
Stone house is nice. Huge portions. Fair prices. Nice servers. Food comes out HOT. Ambiance is unique because it's a really old building that changed owners several times. Our room was kind of dim, with 2 fireplaces in it. Better choice considering what are other food options nearby.
We had a great time in the tavern! The service was awesome and the bartender had a great cocktail menu and took pride in making us Old Fashions.
We both had the steak dinners, and both were mouthwatering and flavorful! Sides of potatoes and beans were plentiful and equally delicious. The service was on point and attentive throughout our experience. The ambiance is very unique and authentic here. Each room is dripping with history with plenty to read and look at around the building. Very old building with excellent food and a nice big bar area as well. We will be back
