Bidra med feedbackThey serve budget-friendly "zi char" dishes only after 2pm.
I visited during lunch and found their dishes to be fresh. They offer a wide variety of options to choose from.
I was craving soupy noodles and was thrilled to find Vegetarian Cuisine NTUC Foodfare in Clifford Centre serving Mee Tai Mak with Vegetarian Fish Ball for $4.50. The dish paired well with bean sprouts and lettuce, with the bean sprouts being fresh and crunchy. The Mee Tai Mak is a unique dish that reminded me of a rare dish I had as a child in Malaysia. The stall also offers a variety of economical rice dishes. For a healthy option, you can simply order a vegetable dish. The stall has a long queue, which is a testament to its popularity.
Located in a nice and ventilated food court. Early Monday afternoon choice was very limited. After naming three dishes that were not available I just told ordered mock meat, vegetables and rice . They arrived five minutes later piping hot in a yummy sauce and I paid 5 SGD for it. The dish was actually really good, not too salty or oily. Staff is friendly as well.
It's located inside the Clifford Center (24 Raffles Place , in a big eatery, as a one of many small stalls (there's another one vegetarian stall, with an Indian food, but it is only vegetarian, not vegan . Only few choices, but for a great value. Definitely not expansive for the center of Singapore! Very tasty food, big portions. Very friendly staff. No plastic dishes/cutlery, so environmentally-friendly, too. ; Recommended!
