Tacos El Jefe Taqueria - Centerville

Ordered through door dash three taco plate, the restaurant said they were out of the items ordered and made the decision to replace the out of stock items with a random menu item that was not even close to what my original order was. I understand being out of stock but you had my contact information, call me to see what I wanted to do instead of replacing it with something I didn’t want and now is a waste of my money. Once my food arrived they put my tortillas in my beans, didn’t include my pico, which I paid extra for, and again it’s not even close to what I ordered.

The restaurant closes at 4 PM on Sundays, even though the mall stays open until 6 PM. Additionally, their hours listed on Google indicate that they should be open until 5 PM.

I wouldn't recommend spending your money here! The food was subpar. The rice seemed like it had been dehydrated and then left under a heat lamp, and the meat was only a little more tender than jerky. Service was for takeout, and I had dinner. Price per person was around $1–10.

Delicious birria! Before trying this place, I had only ever eaten birria from one other spot, but my husband and I both agree that Jefe ranks among the best. The consume is fantastic and very satisfying. The cashier was friendly, too. We dined in for lunch, and the price for each person was around $10–$20.

This place is by far the best taco spot around! Everything is made fresh daily, and the customer service is fantastic. My favorite dish so far is the birria tacos—they're incredibly delicious and a must-try. It might look a bit sketchy since it's located in the mall, but I've found that the sketchiest places often end up being the best!
