Al Gallo D'oro Cefalu

We ate anelletti (pasta in the shape of rings), arancini (looks like an orange but it's stuffed with rice), foccacia something (can't remember the name), chicken wings, patate (fried potatoes). All were good, but I liked the arancini best, next the anelletti. It's a small place and most people take away, but we ate there at two small tables indoors (it was raining). The ?owner was very friendly and accomodating to tourists who couldn't speak much Italian.

Great place for food, cheap and tasty, unlike the tourist traps where you pay €50 for a single person we managed to feed a group of 4 for €40, it is a place liked by the locals, What is misleading is that you can only get food that is on display which is true if you are just passing by but as matter of fact you can order a day ahead to get exactly what you like freshly made for you and the best part is that you can have it delivered, the only issue that can be encountered with this is communication in English, lucky one of my friends was Italian and ordered for us so didn’t have this issue. Staff are very friendly and hard working, will definitely eat from this place again if I return to Cefalù.

Found this little place whilst stroling to the station.It is on a quiet street away from the tourist area in a more workman-like area of the town.The food on offer is very simple fare, breaded, fried and roasted and displayed in trays in the counter. The night before I had enjoyed a meal for one in a restaurant in town that cost me 50 euros, so I was happy to make a meal of roasted potato pieces and roast chicken pieces with a coffee for not much more than a couple of euros. On a second visit i had a decent piece of pizza.Served once by a lady and once by a man, neither of whom spoke any english, but this wasn't much of a problem. This seems very much the sort of place locals would use for a light bite at a fair price.

Food is OK. Service is not good at all. All the neighbors are better. Hijacked at the street. Then nothing happened. 20 minutes to order and just as long to get food. Use your time elsewhere
