Bridge Cafe - Cavendish

Looking for somewhere for a bite to eat we stopped at the Cafe as it looked interesting and what a jam we found. The Cafe is well kept and has a great selection of pies and cakes for a little town Cafe. Ordered the burger...and were delighted with the tower of fresh ingredients presented to us. Outside seating is just perfect on a hot afternoon. Judging by the number of locals stopping, this is a secret they are keeping to themselves.

After our walk along the river we eat the best sausage rolls around from this cafe with homemade chutney and good coffee. Always friendly service that makes me feel like an adopted local.

We were really looking forward to a pub lunch but the pub did not look open and then we noticed this cafe so thought we may as well stop in there. I had a plain hamburger which was excellent and my husband had the fish...and chips which he enjoyed but was maybe a bit light on fish and heavy on chips. But the best part about this stop was the service, all staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we had a lovely chat with the owner after our meal and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended for a stop off. It seemed to be very popular with locals too which goes a long way to recommend a cafe.

What a lovely spot to stop for lunch ... wonderful owners who even had a spot on the verandah to safely secure our dog while we pick a delish lunch! Terrific verandah to sit under, eat our lunch and watch the Wannon Rover

Great toasted egg and bacon with cheese sandwiches this morning. Well worth the stop, will call again
