Shari's Cafe Pies - Castro Valley

This place is great! There was only one waiter when we were there, but he was still very attentive and helpful. He was very patient with us and he was very nice. The food was good (better than anticipated) and the prices aren't crazy especiallycompared to other options. We also got a strawberry cheesecake pie to share and it was very good. All around, a fantastic placeto eat at if you're in the area.

Recently ordered a slice of their chocolate cream pie on two different occasions. Hadn't ordered since before the pandemic and the slices used to be a regular slice size. My most recent orders I was given these tiny bity slices where you can finish in 3bites and mostly just whipped cream! Slices are definitely overpriced $4) and underserved!

We waited over an hour on a Tuesday at this restaurant. While the kids eat free promotion is nice, the wait time was not worth it. We received half of our food cold and had to grab utensils from another table. The waitress only came to take our order and drop off the food, showing no hospitality. They never checked on us or offered refills. The burger had cold buns and hot bacon, which was confusing. The fries were a mix of hot and cold, and none were seasoned. The pancakes were lukewarm, and the fruit was bitter and dry. My daughter's eggs were also bad. Overall, my family left hungry and disappointed. There are other fast food and restaurant options nearby that I would recommend over this place.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. I always make sure to visit after pumpkin picking in Half Moon Bay. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick. The food is outstanding, and definitely worth waiting in line for. During my last visit, in addition to a delicious sandwich, I tried one of their cookies. It was amazing!

The restaurant is a peaceful spot with great coffee and delicious food. I ordered the BLT sandwich while my wife tried a dish with eggs and pancakes. We both enjoyed our meals.
