Pizzeria Del Lamanna's - Castro

Our first night in Castro Marina, so we wandered up to Lammaro’s and asked for a table for 2. The guy who greeted us said, “there are no pizzas tonight”. Not sure why he thought we would want pizza, a 65 year old couple dressed quite nicely. He took us to a table across the road on the deck with a view which was very nice. He told us there was no Menu but a “set menu” that night and rattled off a few dishes and asked what we wanted. We ordered seafood pasta (spaghetti) and calamari fritti I also ordered a beer. After about 20 minutes I had to ask for my beer again, as it still hadn’t appeared. It was only 8:00pm so not very busy at all. The food came out and it was quite nice, but 18 Euro for a plate of spaghetti and mussels and also 18 Euro for a relatively small plate of calamari. We never saw the waiter again so weren’t asked for another drink. Not offered a wine list, or anything else. I walked inside to pay the bill and they seemed to be completely put out by me wanting to pay. So shocked at the price and the complete lack of service. Would not go back again, nor would I recommend the restaurant. Hopefully our restaurant experiences over the next 6 nights will be much better value for money.

Where most of the restuarants we poped in for a first course only refused or told us we just had an hr to eat and leave as they were fully booked. This restuarant even though were fully booked too just kindly got us in quickly and served us delicious plates. We didnt order pizza but we think its the best around this area as we had a basket of fresh hot baked pizza dough (in our picture we already ate half of them instead of ordinary daily bread where most restuarants offer So if you feel like come here. Service also was with a smile and impeccable. We ordered Spaghetti with cozze and Panciotti they were excellent. Highly reccomended! By the way we were ready in 30min :

We had a great time at Lamanna. Fish is great (recommended linguine alle vongole and fritto di calamari e gamberi). We also have a few pizzas that are very good tasty and fresh. The staff was very friendly and kind. 5 stars. The great landscape was an excellent condiment in Castromarina

A wonderful, friendly service with daily breakfast and coffee, freshly served. easy walk to the business center and to the centro storico and swimming. Do not forget to bring their bad and snorkeling.

Sì, la nostra meravigliosa vacanza in questo hotel è appena finita. che dire personale molto gentile pulizia eccellente e buon cibo. il posto è perfetto per coloro che non vogliono oare la macchina il mare è molto vicino e anche il centro è raggiungibile a piedi. ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio dal primo giorno ci torneremo sicuramente.
