Trattoria Ravaldi - CASTELFRANCO EMILIA

Don 't go to the expensive, bigger trattoria down the road at the stoplight. You 'll spend twice the money for 'weak-sauce ' food. Trattoria Ravaldi is a family owned and operated business headed up by the coolest old man I 've ever met. When you walk in and sit down it feels like you 're eating at your grandma and grandpa 's house. The walls are covered in photo 's done by a family member of his travels around the world and of their beloved cats. I 'm American and every time I have family come to town I always take them to Trattoria Ravaldi for Gnocco Fritto and Tigelle with their seasonal Coppa di Testa and house wine. Top notch.
