Bidra med feedbackRey’s is amazing!! We had an absolutely lovely time dining here. The food was exquisite, the service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was top notch. A special shout out to our server, Yana, who routinely went above and beyond to make sure our needs were well taken care of. She was a true treasure and had some excellent suggestions for us when we asked. The cocktails were unbelievably delicious. The smoked old fashioneds were some of the very best, if not the best, that we’ve ever had. Thank you, Ellie. You are a bartending genius! We can taste the love you add in your drink creations. We were touched by Rey (the owner’s son) coming over to greet us and check on how we were doing as he heard we were guests visiting for the first time. Color is impressed with everything about our dining experience at Rey’s. Next time we’re in the area, we will be back!
Very good and full marks for most everything. Slightly disappointed in the filet mignon, it was cooked medium rare like I ordered, but the 2½-3in thick steak was charred, not just seared or crusted, and meat was chewy, with no fat. It had a dry, flaky top that caused me to choke. I have had throat cancer, and suffer from dry mouth and some difficulty in swallowing, so can't really process dry meat, or bread very well, so it was not the best steak for me, and overall was not tender even though very pink/red center. My daughter had hers medium-well, butterfly cut (kids , but her steak exterior was identical in color and texture as mine, although she says hers was bit too well done throughout. She also thought hers was a bit tough, and chewy, so think it may be the cut or quality of the meat, not the temp. Maybe choice cut, not prime or better on the meat? Sides Au Gratin and Asparagus, shrimp cocktail appetizer, Caesar salad (possibly in house made croutons and Creme Brulee were all excellent. Service was great and the place looks amazing.
My wife and I dined here for our 5th anniversary. TJ was our server for the evening. This was our first time coming to this restaurant. Tj explained everything to us and congratulated us on our anniversary. For our appetizers, we had the crab salad, and I had the ceaser salad. For our main course, my wife ordered the rack of lambs with glaric mashed potatoes. I had the french quarter chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious and fresh. Our final course was the bananas foster dessert, which was prepared at our table by our wonderful server TJ. He explained everything as he went alone. Exceptional!! The entire staff was very attentive and professional. We will be back to dine again with TJ. Thanks for the dessert.
This is a great place for any special meal. The service is top notch and the food was delicious. A nice quiet atmosphere too.
I love the cozy yet elegant ambiance of this establishment. The service was top tier. All of our food came out in a timely fashion. It was all absolutely delicious. I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare and it was PERFECT! The pan seared scollops were so flavorful and tender!! My hot date ordered the chicken piccata and said it was DELICIOUS! Lobster mac and cheese and asparagus were also both very tasty as well. We so badly wanted to order dessert but we simply did not have room. To our surprise, we were given a complimentary chocolate raspberry truffle cake to go that is phenomenal!! We will be back for sure. Pricey but worth it.
