Bidra med feedbackThe first time at the lodge and after Missouri. drove from new mexico for the holiday and we were not disappointed. that was impressive and the staff was so helpful and pleasant! I loved all the details of the decoration in the cabin and around the being, the snacks, etc., plus the available activities meant something for everyone. the personal was so nice and accommodating to make sure we had a good trip. my daughter began to feel faint ohr coming, and the recipe told me to go to the shop where she had already held ear drops and swim earplugs for me at the writing. my son had recently returned an operation and the pull-out couch was unpleasant for him, so they brought him a rollaway bed. thanks to the great staff!
That was my first trip to the big cedar lodge and I was very excited to go. the resort is nice and there is something to do for everyone! the biggest problem I had with the place was the personal. my first impression after the natural beauty was how bad this place is. the lady who checked us was extremely rude and not helpful, unfortunately this was not an isolated experience in the resort. in contrast to this, the golf clubs are excellent!
We love Big Cedar! We have visited many times enjoying the golf, fun mountain, pools, lake boat rentals and the many restaurants. The employees were always eager to help and the service is 5-Star. One suggestion I would love to see, however, is a restaurant on property that has a full breakfast menu where you don’t have to order the buffet. The menu at Devils Pool is limited unless you order the buffet..and some just can’t eat that much food.
The stained glass windows in the bedroom were horrific. Such a beautiful cabin space ruined by 5 am wakeup and kids waking up bc they can't wear masks you all provided. Way too expensive for that. The lodge is magnificent but marketing could be better on what is age appropriate for each person and top hits.
We had a family of six stay in a two-bedroom cabin with a loft, ranging from age 11-73. It was a magical week. The main property of Big Cedar is gorgeous. Our cabin was comfortable and my son loved fishing right off the rocks in Table Rock Lake. We rented a pontoon boat for two hours, went to Dogwood Canyon to go trout fishing, borrowed paddle boats on multiple occasions and took a shooting lesson at the Sports Academy. We also did the cave tour at Top of the Rock. Each experience was special and enjoyed by all. For food, Worman House is a splurge but worth it. Osage, the other upscale restaurant, wasn’t as good as Worman. We loved getting lunch, coffees and smoothies from Truman Cafe each day. There is an efficient shuttle service but I would definitely recommend having a car- our cabin was quite far from the main area and it was nice to be able to drive. The various attractions cover quite a large area. The staff was beyond friendly and willing to go the extra mile. What a special spot.
