This is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I've been to on the Gold Coast, the flavours are beautiful and the portions are larger than expected, the prices seem a little higher but I think that is reflected well in the quality and quantity served. Thought we had found the best Japanese on the Gold Coast as the food is yummy. However that was until we were charged more than the advertised price. We spent over $65 for takeaway and on pick up they added another $10 to the cost. When I questioned the staff why they were charging more than what is advertised on their website menu, they told me that their boss had increased the prices a month ago but the website (your main source) had not been updated. This is poor form to advertise one set of prices and then charge customers another set of prices when they come to pick up. I requested that they honour the prices advertised, but the ladies at the counter declined and said they can't do that. Well, you can't charge people more than what you say it is, that is deceitful. I feel that the price of each dish is quite expensive, for starters the menu online states the karaage 10pc is $17 but we were charged $20 at the counter. Also when we got home the miso soup takeaway cup was just over half full and they increased the price on that too.

The food was really delicious, and the service was excellent. They also allow you to bring your own wine.
