Serranova is a farmers community. The centre of Serranova is nothing more than a church, a crossroads and of course Tonino 's place. Tonino manages the community: tourist pass by and are given advise on where to go, foreign homeowners are assisted looking for local labour to keep up their houses, and in the meantime Tonino 's shop provides in your basic needs and especially serves as a meeting place for all that have an interest in or around Serranova. On Fridays he organises get togethers that can extend well beyond closing time. Try the sandwiches : if you are up for it ask for the spicy version (and order a drink to wash it all down).

You must not visit the state nature reserve and the marine protected area of Torre Guaceto near Brindisi, Apulia without paying a visit to Tonino. This is one of the most important cultural attractions in this wonderful area. Tonino speaks several languages, because of his young days Europe for years, but finally he made the choice to sell back to his home village, Serranova, and food and drinks to the farmers of the area. Slowly, the area (not really a tourist) was popular among foreign visitors, both long term and short term, and Tonino was discovered. If he is in good mood (almost all the time) or not too busy, he will tell you a story.
