Sunset Lounge - Carmel

This is a must-see if there is a sunset. This resort hotel was still recovering from COVID when we returned in '22. The restaurant had been very expensive and excellent pre-pandemic. It was only partially functional immediately post-COVID and the menu had deteriorated, but the view of the sun setting in the Pacific is fabulous and the bar still works just fine.

Amazing location with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean from the Carmel Highlands. We had excellent service with a very friendly staff. Drinks and small food items are available with extended hours compared to the restaurant.

A bit on the pricy end compared to what I'm used to, but the staff was knowledgeable and amazing so definitely worth the cost

We had a great time and enjoyed the food. Wonderful sunset.

Beautiful views!!!! You can see whales during the season.
