This cafe is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly, the coffee is outstanding, and the houjicha tart is the best I've ever had. I absolutely adore this place. It's just a shame that I can't try more items from the menu because I prefer eating in rather than getting takeaway.

They also sell Japanese snacks and ceramic cups for those interested. I tried the Salmon Don since the breakfast set I initially wanted was sold out. It was perfect for those who enjoy poke bowls or fusion Japanese cuisine. They also have rotating Lunch Sets, allowing you to try a variety of dishes each time you visit. Like all Japanese cuisine, the use of fresh and high-quality ingredients is key in making the dishes. The flavors are balanced and clean, enhancing the ingredients without overshadowing them. I particularly enjoyed the onigiri, one with pickled mustard and another with salmon. The chicken karaage was tender with a satisfying crunch, and the grilled eggplant had a delicious smoky sweetness. To finish off the meal, the hojicha tart was a perfect choice for dessert. The base had a delightful mix of textures, resembling a flaky pastry and biscuit crumb. The hojicha flavor was strong and incredibly tasty. It paired wonderfully with my decadent matcha latte.

I had a wonderful time at IMA and will definitely return. Ako has done an amazing job with the decoration, and the food is both unique and tasty.
