Bidra med feedbackFour of us had an evening meal in the welly before a week, it was a beautiful meal. we ordered sampi with half-chips half-salat, sweet lasagne and chips and the chicken cure with half-chips half-rows (they must ask for half and half as it is not written on the menu). I enjoyed my meal, the chips were divine. it has a great traditional pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a very good host barry. the only reason why I gave four stars is that my friend who ordered the curry had felt that they could have done with a little more curry to show up with their broth. otherwise it was a very pleasant evening with good traditional pub duve to make reasonable trips. will definitely return.
Have sat for a meal and open microphone night. renter and staff very friendly. open microphone night was excellent, some very talented people there. beautiful walk through the streets of thursby. they are here several times and will be back!
We found a lovely spot to stop on our way home and catch up with two school friends. The pub had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. We stayed in our camper and appreciated the facilities for emptying the toilet, filling up with water, and accessing electric hookups.
A week ago, four of us had dinner at The Welly, and it was quite enjoyable. We ordered Sampi with half chips and half salad, vegetable lasagna with chips, and chicken curry with half chips and half rice (just a note: you need to specifically ask for half portions, as it's not listed on the menu). I personally loved my meal; the chips were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was charmingly traditional, with friendly staff and a wonderful host named Barry. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that my friend, who ordered the curry, thought it could have used a bit more sauce to complement the bread. Overall, it was a lovely evening with good traditional pub food at reasonable prices. I'm definitely planning to return.
We spent a night in our caravan on our way to Scotland, and I can highly recommend this hidden gem. It’s quiet, peaceful, and features a lovely pub. I enjoyed the chicken and rag cake, which was perfectly complemented by a delicious bread and butter pudding for dessert. Plus, the prices are reasonable!
