Bidra med feedbackWhat a great place! I popped up to the area for a day out and a local shop recommended The Good Sister as the best place to get a coffee. They were not wrong! Great coffee and the food. I’ll be back when I’m local. Friendly staff and good food is always a winner.
Upon arriving in Carlisle we asked in a local shop at the bus station where the best coffee shop was. Just a five minute walk to The Good Sisters. What a lovely little place, I so much prefer these coffee shops to the big name brands. The staff were so good, happy to help. The food was great too. A nice selection, well presented and good quality. I had the Sausage Pattie Brioche Bun. It was tasty and to be recommended. Well done to all
Friendly staff, lovely place to sit inside (and outside if the weather is good and delicious food. Nice to have something a bit different for breakfast (options included frittata, granola, breakfast muffin... . There was also a really good selection of cakes and traybakes. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again!
We were staying at the Travelodge a few doors down and wanted a different sort of breakfast. I had the granola and my partner had the frittata. Both delicious.. We both thought the coffee could do with being a tad stronger, but that may be personal preference. Friendly, quick service. You could see into the kitchen and lunch wa smelling good so we came back a few hours later to eat again.
My only criticism is that they aren't open every day! Haven't yet tried anything that wasn't amazing, but if I absolutely had to choose, the breakfast frittata muffin and the carrot cake are my favourites. Portions are so generous. They sell lovely extra bits and pieces like bags for life, dog treats, cups and flowers as well. Amazing coffee, friendly service, and some of the loveliest food I've ever had.
