Sophia's Fine Dining - Carbonear

Had supper while staying at the Inn, delicious food, great service and very good value. Good wine selection and reasonable prices there too.

The food at this restaurant is great if you have the appetite of a child. The pancakes were undercooked and the tea was poorly made.

Beautiful little restaurant with delicious food! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal while guests at Sophia's Heritage Inn.

We arrived in Carbonear in a driving rainstorm, heavy fog, and cold north winds. Stayed at a nearby small motel and decided to try the restaurant mentioned on the town map, Sophia's Fine Dining. We weren't sure what to expect but..What an unbelievable surprise! The food was amazing, best we had in Nfld. The server was prompt, attentive, and very helpful with our selections.All the food was homemade and obviously made with love and attention. I had an incredible steak with crispy baked potato wedges, my husband had gorgeous pork medallions. Salads were fresh and creative.And the desserts were phenomenal. I had the best pie in ages. Pastry was flaky and light and the partridgeberries were tart and flavourful.You know the food is great when you return a second night and order almost the same items. And we did! Beautiful decor too. Small dining room but very cozy. We absolutely recommend this gem in a little town.

Sophia's features a delectable menu that is a rare find in this area. I highly recommend it for a memorable night out!
