Mango's Pool - Captiva

This restaurant review is poorly rated with zero stars. In early August 2022, we rented a house that was actively being built, which the management company was aware of but chose not to address. The construction work included loud hammering, drilling, and sawing starting at 8 a.m. and lasting throughout the day, causing the whole house to shake at times. The construction workers mentioned that this had been ongoing for weeks and would continue for a few more months until October 2022. Despite our complaints, the management company was indifferent and unresponsive. I advise everyone to avoid renting houses managed by the NC Island Club, as they disregard complaints and prioritize making money over providing a comfortable experience for their customers.

This is a fantastic spot to stop by on your boat! The food and drinks were excellent, the pool was pristine, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

I have never written a review after a vacation before, but I feel compelled to share my experience with "Big on the Beach" in nc in July. My family and I were extremely disappointed with our stay at this VRBO property. The house was in poor condition, with doors that wouldn't close properly, floors in disrepair, and mold on the walls. The bedding and towels were old and musty, and we encountered giant cockroaches in the middle of the night. The kitchen appliances were not working properly, and the gas grill was so dirty our family wouldn't go near it. The air conditioning broke during our stay, and the water had a strong odor. Overall, I highly recommend finding alternate accommodations. The island itself is beautiful, but this house did not meet our expectations. It was not worth the money we paid. This will likely be my first and last review.

Shelia is an amazing bartender! her and dan know definitiw what they do, the drinks were on the point and the service was excellent!

We arrived at the table, and they told us to wait for a server— no one came. 15 minutes in we went to the bar asking to be served, twice, and they finally took our order. While the coconut shrimp appetizer was admittedly fresh and delicious 3/4 of the drinks were borderline virgin. For the main course, they served my burger I asked to be medium rare as thoroughly cooked, the sautéed mushrooms topping were practically raw, the onion rings were stale and they forgot my father’s entire dish TWICE. They admitted they wrote it down, but forgot to send it to the kitchen and the second time they said that the kitchen forgot the order. They then forgot my second drink for 15 minutes until the waiter came back and asked “uh, you ordered a piña colada right?” And no they were NOT overwhelmed— half the seats are empty. I’d give it a 1 but the coconut shrimp and piña colada were admittedly delicious. Customer take note.
