Bidra med feedbackI thought the food was tasty, Orange Beef and Bistro lo mein with shrimp, chicken, and pork as entrees. My gripe was that for the prices there was not enough food for two to share. I don't remember ever leaving a Chinese restaurant without food for leftovers.Food: 4/5
Ordered the Peking Duck and broccoli with roasted garlic for take out. $65 !!!!! Absurd pricing. The duck was skimpy and fatty, not the crispy duck I expected. I chopped up my own scallions and cucumber as there was very little provided. The broccoli was enough as a side dish for two but not very flavorful. Would not order here again.
Just moved to this area, was hoping to find my “go-to” Chinese place because it’s walking distance from my apartment. I’ve never gotten Chinese food and been upset by a lack of portions. The white rice that we got came about 2/3 full, when I’m used to the container being stuffed full. I mean, it’s white rice…. Next the orange chicken, good flavor, but again the package was 2/3 full, and the chicken was VERY heavily breaded. More than half of the pieces of orange chicken were breading. And the chicken lettuce wraps… don’t ever get them. Terrible, by far the worst I’ve had. Bistro? Come on, you have to be better than that. I only wish we had ate in to be able to send it back. I really hope they get better cooks or change their recipes, something. I would love to love this place. But I don’t know if I even want to try it again. Sad about that.
Worst chinese food in my experience. Do not order the mango chicken, tasteless with thick bland sauce. Mango had no taste. Could not eat it, threw it away! Lettuce appetizer rated a D+
Imagine your favorite dish from your local Chinese take out place, then upscale it. That's essentially how I see Ginger Bistro. Instead of food made as fast as possible and packed in plastic containers, you get well prepared food, made with quality ingredients, and served beautifully in elegant surroundings. You can still get Gen Tso's, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and egg rolls, but they'll be elegantly plated and served in a manner you'd expect from a high end restaurant. We've eaten here at least half a dozen times now and have yet to be disappointed. If you have the chance to visit in the early afternoon, I highly recommend you try their Dim Sum menu. This was the first place I've tried those little dumplings, and I'm hooked on them now!
