Rucci Indian Takeaway - Cannock Chase

This week, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Rucci Indian Takeaway. The chicken was sour and the chicken pilau rice was drenched in grease. When I reached out to express my dissatisfaction and left a negative review, the so-called manager responded by verbally abusing me over the phone, shouting and telling me to go away. I was left shocked and upset, as their behavior brought me to tears. Bullying and mistreating customers is never acceptable. I urge everyone to be aware of this behavior, and I will not be returning to Rucci Indian Takeaway again. Shame on you.

On New Year's Eve, my partner and I had to stay in due to circumstances beyond our control. To lift our spirits, we decided to order from Rucci. We preplanned, went online, and ordered our food at 5:40 pm. However, 1.5 hours later, we were told that our order had not been delivered yet and was just being cooked. After several phone calls and false promises of delivery times, we were left hungry and disappointed by 9:00 pm. This ruined our evening as we had already indulged in some drinks and lost the motivation to cook for ourselves.

The food arrived within the estimated time given during the phone order. The delivery driver was friendly. Although some dishes were a bit bland and not very hot, I found the tandoori chicken to be delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We ordered two meat dishes, veg samosas, chicken bites, chips and rice. The chips and chicken bites for the kids were spot on but the curries and samosas were not (I would of expected the other way round) There wasn't alot of meat in the curry, the sauces were nice but they lacked in flavour, the Madras was all spicey and no depth of flavour. The veg samosas were the most disappointing as it was all potato with the odd pea in it, so more like a potato pie

We ordered two meat dishes and a vegetarian main. All of them were really poor. Very little meat, and what there was was very dry and chewy. The vegetable madras was mostly sauce with a few overcooked potatoes and a couple of bits of sweet corn. The rice was overcooked and dry too. Really poor. Shan’t be ordering from them again.
