Bidra med feedbackI was invited to this restaurant by a friend that loves fish restaurants as I do. This was my first time at Fred l'Ecailler and honestly it was not exciting. The place was crowded as a Paris subway at 8:00 AM and they had very large tables with 20+ people screaming an shouting. Ordering took 1 hour and another hour went by to be served. The comment of the waitress to whom I complain for the delay was: can't you see we are full tonight? Finally food arrived. I had an octopus salad (below average) where the ratio veggies/fish was definitely in favour of the greens. The sole meunière was good but way too oily. We were deeply unsatisfied by the experience and we run away without trying the dessert nor the coffee. The only thing that meet my expectations was the valet parking. Fred you definitely need to work on your restaurant.
It was our last night in the South of France as we were driving to Lyon the next day. A fabulous meal. We all had fresh seafood. This is a very local spot. Not too many tourists as the diners were mostly French. People playing boule and drinking Pastis. The fruits de mare was delicious. Good seafood is not cheap but it was worth every morsel. It was a chilly September evening and they had folded throws on the backs of the chairs for patrons to stay cozy. Nice touch.
First off don’t order from the fish counter 1 kilo fish £150 !!! French waiters arrogant while Italians and Spanish speaking fantastic Had the sole £55 but over cooked had the red mullets very small but well cooked staff uninterested in how it was
Another divine evening at fred's scailler. Perfectly cooked fish, tasty roasted gambas and even the beef net was perfect! The service is classified and friendly, and the reception of the owner is always very warm. We'll be back there, that's all!
