Bidra med feedbackWe were wary on entering. An empty restaurant in a street full of busy places. We had booked on the basis of reviews and the promise of ‘fusion’. We were handed grubby old menus never a good sign. From the limited choice we ordered steak, mussels and chicken curry. With indecent haste the first two came out. The curry can only have been warmed up in the time. The steak managed to be over cooked nevertheless. Two portions of mussels followed. Sadly around half were unopened either bad or not cooked. We struggled through the unappetising fare. At no point did the waiter appear to ask how we were enjoying the meal. After we finished what we could he came out and we explained about the mussels. At this stage the offer of more mussels was not interesting for us. Eventually they conceded to take one portion of mussels from the bill. Not a great experience.
We selected Ginger out of a lot of different restaurants along the beach. Lovely decor and very friendly waiters. Shortly after we were seated, a couple came in with a very badly behaved dog, and were seated directly next to us. The dog began barking loudly and regardless of instructions to be quiet from its owners. The waiter immediately noticed that this was very unpleasant to us, and moved us to another table further away. The entire time they were incredibly helpful and forthcoming. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
….seafood platter. However, it’s very disappointing to discover that the restaurants guests are not being given the same service. Upon arrival, we were told that only a few tables were available. Accept from us, there was 2 other couples. Watching French guests arrive, we could observe that they were given the opportunity to pick and choose. Simply not okay. The 4 dots is for the quality only.
Well presented menu and setting, that offered a lot of promise for a slightly higher price tag than nearby competitors, food arrived and looked great and started well but overall was disappointing and not worth the price tag. All style and not much substance.
We 've been twice to this restaurant since the opening earlier this summer! The fish are freshly caught from the day, proposed with a variety of seasonings and accompaniments. Meat and burgers are a can 't miss either. We 've had a wonderful evening, delicious meal, and especially with the wine advices of the chef and the tasting of local wine that your are able to do in this restaurant. The owner selects small vineyards from local owners to create a unique experience throughout each meal. Thank you very much !
