Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Campbell

I received a coupon in the mail for this restaurant. I downloaded their app, placed an order using the coupon, but received a call shortly after saying they were not participating in the promotion. I cancelled my order and was told I would receive a refund in 2-3 business days. I am skeptical if this will actually happen, based on other reviews I have seen. The restaurant needs to improve their communication and honor the coupons they send out to the local community.

The pulled pork was delicious, but the chopped brisket was disappointing as it was mostly fat. The sides were decent, although the mac and cheese was a bit greasy. The BBQ sauce was fantastic. The fries and coleslaw were average. The restaurant is small, clean, and has plenty of parking available.

The meat was enjoyable, with less fat than before. The coleslaw, mac and cheese, and fries were average. Unfortunately, they no longer offer ice cream. Despite being informed that this location does not honor corporate online specials, the prices are still high. The online prices are even more shockingly expensive.

I love everything on the menu, especially the Asiago Cheese Creamed Spinach. I seem to remember that their ribs had more meat on them. But I continue to order from them so that's a good sign.

I have BBQ food two or three times a month. I've tried other Dickey's locations, so i figured this was worth a taste. I eat late, so I arrive about 20 minutes before closing time. Some BBQ places sell out of meats early, but they still have everythingI've wanted each visit. I reserve my five- star reviews for places that go above and beyond. While the food and service werepretty good, they'll have to up the ante just a bit for me to award that last star. In the meantime, I'll keep eating there andhoping the last star is achieved in due time.
