Shot in the Dark Cafe - Campbell River

Today we tried the BLT sandwiches and they were fantastic! The bread was delicious and this restaurant is definitely one of the top places for sandwiches in town.

The portions at this restaurant are massive. You'll need a big appetite! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious with a wide variety of options. Definitely worth a visit!

We decided to have lunch here and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and soup special with hot ham and cheddar. The sandwich was loaded with ham, lettuce, tomato, and onion and it was delicious. The multi bean and lentil with bacon soup was also fantastic, almost like a stew with so many ingredients. My husband had the lasagna which was a generous portion with layers of goodness, served with garlic bread and salad. I took a bite and decided that would be my order next time we visit.

My husband and I took a walk through the city on a very hot morning and decided to stop at the “Schuss in the Dark Cafe”. No one was inside, so we decided to sit here. We ordered toast with butter and jam with our... selection of coffee. The people, lady and a man we accept were the owners very pleasant and hospitable. The bread was made on site and was delicious. I know it was just toast, but it was really delicious. Thank you. The coffee was good.

Lunch stopped and the place was empty. I should have said that. I felt like we were harassing the staff by even being there. An omelet ordered and it was swimming in a pool of oil, cutlery was dirty and... wanted to replace, bathroom was also dirty. I wiped the dirty table outside to use only. Would not recommend and will not return.
