Yesterday, I went to this restaurant and chose my meal. Unfortunately, I had an issue with my card in the machine and couldn't pay. Mo and Ramisa were extremely kind and offered me the meal for free. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity. The teriyaki chicken on a bed was absolutely delicious. Thank you Mo and Ramisa for a wonderful experience.
I used to eat at Itsu regularly, but their food is nothing special and the menu hasn't changed in years. Some dishes are too salty due to high sodium content. The main reason I no longer dine at Itsu is their policy of promoting dishonesty in order to avoid paying VAT. This policy is also common in coffee shops like Starbucks. Customers are asked if they want to eat in or take away, with the VAT applied only if dining in. Many people have caught on to this and lie about taking away to avoid paying VAT. Despite the convenience of eating in and not being asked to leave, I do not support these corporate companies driven by greed and dishonesty. I prefer to sit down, pay the bill, and leave a tip.
I feel the same as the below or above reviews about Itsu being cashless. They have lost another customer ....will go back if they start accepting cash again. Meanwhile will find elsewhere .
My family of four went for a quick lunch after a trip to the theater because my 6-year-old daughter loves sushi. I was surprised to find that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, making it difficult for us to accommodate our daughter, who currently has a broken leg and is temporarily using a wheelchair. Unfortunately, there were no lower tables available for us to sit at. This was disappointing.
