The Station Tavern - Cambridge

We held farewell drinks at The Station Tavern for a longstanding colleague so it was important to create a nice atmosphere.. All the staff were helpful and polite from allocating space, to working out best party food, to making drinks order easy a special thank you to Jas and Kay.

I enjoyed the burger and my wife had a steak, perfectly cooked and excellent quality. The customer Service we received was professional and friendly, everything was better than we expected from the location of the restaurant. The decor is modern meeting classic, blended beautifully with brick slip tiles and lots of plants, arches so it feels like an old building and they had some kind of meeting room that was occupied. Outside space was sadly a little cold, wet and uninviting. Umbrellas up if it is not too windy might make a difference.

Beer range is good, non alcoholic beers too. Nice looking place and good staff. Great location and it was nice to be in a bar that seemed like it was for adults, no teenagers running about like in most bars.

I mean it wasn’t a great experience, you were clearly understaffed. The bike shed alarm went off 3 times whilst we were there for 5+ minutes at a time. it was cold. I asked for boiling water to heat a baby bottle and got a tea pot 5 mins later, the thought was there but I just needed a wide bowl quickly. My food order was wrong, I wasn’t given a knife and fork. We had to be pushy to pay and leave. It’s handy but mainly because options are limited in the area. The staff are polite and friendly.

Really nice vibe and the fish n chips were delicious. The staff were super friendly and chatty with good humour. We were served in good time. No complaints whatsoever
