Caffe Nero - Cambridge

I just came with my best friend to grab a coffee and cake for he’s birthday. We were sat outside enjoying an amazing view. I have asked girl who was serving me if they have a birthday candle for the cake, but unfortunately they didn’t. We were enjoying our coffe outside and the girl with her friend who made our coffee came outside with complimentary cake and “happy birthday” written on the plate !! That was such a great suprise ! My friend was really happy. Such a charming couple, amazing service! Will definitely come back!

The toilet seat is a joke I did let the place know that it was unhygienic and dangerous and they replied that the seat had to be blue for visually impaired customers and that is the only blue seat on the market REALLY I pointed out it could cause an accident and they replied they would let the area manager know What was the manager doing letting this continue and do they really have so little power that they can’t order a new seat I have informed Cambridge environmental health I share a photo of it

Went for tea break at Caffe Nero opposite King’s Parade at Cambridge University. Service, coffee and muffins were good. Nice place to people watch along Kings Parade Street.

Rude, impatient and uninterested staff. Toilets disgusting. Particularly Debbie, she is hopelessly arrogant and gives so much attitude. I walked out after an unpleasant exchange with her. Never Caffè Nero again, one bad experience and I boycott the brand. End of.

This is the 4th time we've had lunch at this outlet in the past few months. We've always arrived between 1 2 O'clock at weekends. On each occasion we've found crumb and food debris on the chairs and tables. The food and coffee is good but served sloppily without much care, my toasted panini was plonked on the table with the top askew. The toliets are often untidy with urine and toliet paper around the rim and on the floor and just lacking in general cleanliness. Also many tables are hogged by students nursing an empty cup of coffee for ages whilst working on their laptops, which when busy I find intolerable. We gave Starbucks the bums rush a while ago for the same reasons and will do the same now with Caffe Nero. Maybe it's because it was lunchtime and they skimp on the staff, but there should be no excuses Premium prices for Sloppy Joe Cafe surroundings.
