Bidra med feedbackThis place is a bit off the beaten path, but a friend had been raving about it for a while, so I finally decided to check it out while I had some free time in the city. As soon as I walked in, I could tell it was a real hidden gem. I’ve never come across a pupusa spot like this, which made me optimistic. There were a few people enjoying their meals in the cramped space as I placed my order, and I was informed it would take about 15 minutes to prepare. I chose to take a stroll while I waited. When I returned, my order was ready, and I could hardly wait to dig in. It came with all the usual sides—salsa and cabbage—but there was also a green sauce that caught my eye. It looked spicy, and thankfully, I was right; it was delicious! To top it off, the pupusas were served PIPING HOT! At just $2.30 each, what a steal! The beans, cheese, and dough were absolutely fantastic. These are undoubtedly some of the best pupusas around, and anyone in the area should definitely give them a try. You have my wholehearted recommendation!
These are the best pupusas I've discovered in DC so far! My favorite is the pork and cheese. The pupusas come wrapped in foil, which keeps them piping hot for my walk home. I'm excited to try more!
This amazing little Salvadoran takeout spot offers some of the best pupusas I've ever had. I'm eager to try their other dishes as well! The pupusas are just $2.30 each, which is a great deal given the current high inflation. You can also get four Salvadoran tacos for only $6!
This is no frills, baby. Generously served dishes made with a lot of love. We ordered chicharron y yuca as an appetizer and the yuca was crisp and amazing. Then we got pollo guisado and a grilled chicken (pollo a la plancha). Both were served with rice and beans and tortillas. Also tried the horchata and a cantaloupe beverage both made in house. We got everything to go and when we were picking up the food the cashier gave us a free atol de elote which was super nice. Go and support this local spot!
I work directly next door in the Leasing office and I eat here at least twice a month. The guy that works there is always very nice and pleasant and has great latin music on all the time
