Had a great dinner at Jaleo while visiting DC! I’ve been to the Chicago location but only had the paella so it was fun to try all the different tapas! I loved the eggplant the most I think but the others (chorizo, croquettes, Spanish omelet) were good as well. The flan was amazing as well! Overall, it was a great dining experience!
Jaleo is my favorite restaurant in the DC area. Yes, it is not cheap, but where else can I find delicious croquetas when I'm not home, in Spain? Also, this is my modest way of supporting Chef José Andrés for his humanitarian labor. I always order croquetas and sangria. I try different salads and veggie dishes every time I visit Jaleo. I'm vegetarian, so no meat for me. Desserts are delicious. I only hope for them to add crema Catalana.
Lovely atmosphere inside and out. Great service and delicious food.
I’ve been coming to jaleo for over 20 years now. Just like the owner the food also lost quality. Still a good place to hang out but not really anything amazing. Average Spanish food for the price. You have to try Jose Andre’s new restaurants those are doing better when it comes to flavor and atmosphere. Bar tenders and servers are the best. Atmosphere at the DC location getting better but nothing spectacular. Good for a happy hour. Parking: Busy location it’s china town and if there is a concert at the capital one arena forget about it. Also most garages lose at midnight be careful.
